Preview: Chelsea vs Bournemouth
Chelsea host Bournemouth on Monday evening on Boxing Day as they eye their 12th consecutive win to maintain their lead atop the Premier League table.
Chelsea had a stuttering start to their campaign, with Antonio Conte’s four-man defense often being vulnerable to attacks. However, since espousing a 3-4-3 setup, they have become an intimidating force, battering Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in the process. With Arsenal and the Manchester clubs being inconsistent, Chelsea are now tipped to bring the English top-flight title back to Stamford Bridge after a one-year hiatus.
Bournemouth, on the other hand, have not only proved mighty enough to stay away from the relegation dogfight – they sit 10th after 17 games – but also produce shocking results every now and then.
